Iranian-born, Vienna-raised, and now Berlin-based, Aida Arko is a music producer and DJ who’s wreaking havoc on the techno scene. Her relentless techno beats, laced with experimental drone sounds, are shaking the very foundations of electronic music.
Her journey started in Iran, plunging headfirst into the underground scene amidst the cultural chaos of the 90s. Despite dabbling in biology, music was her true obsession. She ditched Iran, embraced the wild circus life in Dubai, and finally stormed into Austria in 2016, ready to dominate.
Her sound is a fierce blend of intense techno and experimental drone. Her tracks, straight from the underground, are packed with industrial rhythms and intricate soundscapes, crafting an immersive auditory assault that’s impossible to ignore.
By 2018, Aida was already shaking things up, throwing epic events and spinning tracks in Vienna's hottest clubs. Her debut EP 'Story Of My Maker', featuring bangers like 'Prolo Therapy' and 'Maximize The Minimize', hit the scene like an earthquake. She kept the fire burning with 'Renaissance' on the VA _nrg for Suara and launched her own label, 'System A Recordings.'

In 2021, Aida dropped "Unholy" for Suara, a killer four-track EP that blew up the charts, with every track landing in Beatport's Top 100 Hard Techno. The title track 'Unholy' even snagged the seventh spot, solidifying her status as a force to be reckoned with.
"Most of the sounds were recorded and processed with my kitchen utensils," Aida explains. "I wrote a melody and let the frequencies and my voice do the rest. Just me and the sound system in a small room in Vienna, countless hours of video editing, and pure love. 'What Have You Done To His Eyes' delves into darker dimensions and shadowy territories."
Her residency at the iconic 'Grelle Forelle' in Vienna exploded onto the scene. She then unleashed 'A New Empire' on the Collective Process Vol. 3, kicking off the VA on Soma Records alongside heavyweights like ANNĒ, Anna Kost, and 3SBAT.
Aida’s sonic adventure also features a killer collaboration with Erased Memories, pushing her ever-evolving sound into new dimensions.
“Composing the sound for this project with Erased Memories was a blast, connecting the sonic with multiple art forms, and creating an emotional experience that allows for feeling over realism.”
Her release 'A Nation Reborn' on the 10th-anniversary VA of Techno Germany Records solidified her place among heavyweights like Dyen and Nico Moreno. She made her mark on HÖR, debuted in the Netherlands at the Amsterdam x Undisclosed event, and released the industrial-influenced 'Under You Above The Galvanic Sky' on Soma Records.
Aida’s relentless creativity surged forward with 'A Long Night In Dunwall' on NowNow Records. She then dropped the ambient track 'A Design Image' on the VA Soma Coma, a haunting piece crafted with field recordings from an abandoned bread factory.
“The entire sound design process for this was pure joy. I explored all the functions of Reaktor and complemented it with field recordings from an abandoned bread factory in Vienna during the pandemic.”
Last but definitely not least, her EP ‘Hedonistic Society’ on Techno Germany Records is a bold testament to her boundary-shattering sound. This release got major props from techno heavyweights like Rebekah and Amelie Lens, who blasted her track during their BBC Radio 1 residency. Aida Arko isn’t just part of the scene; she’s tearing it apart and rewriting the rules.
Aida Arko has been tearing up stages and dropping beats like a boss:

Aida’s been shaking things up beyond the decks, making a real impact. Teaming up with Deestricted for Woman Life Freedom, she dropped 'Blood For Blood' on a charity project with Julian Muller, Lee Ann Roberts, Grace Dahl, and 5ogo1. All the cash went to the Women, Life, Freedom movement, backing women's rights in Iran.
Next, Aida teamed up with Rebekah as an ambassador for Me Too #FortheMusic, a game-changing campaign fighting sexual harassment in the electronic music scene. She’s all about supporting victims, raising awareness, and making our rave culture safer and stronger.
“Our music scene is a constantly evolving entity, alive and breathing, and it is an honor to be one of the ambassadors for the Me Too campaign and to participate in future actions in Austria.”
Her activism didn’t stop there. Aida’s track ‘Forgotten Innocence' featured in 'Techno Against War', a massive 60-track compilation alongside heavy hitters like Kangding Ray, Marcel Fengler, Mark Broom, Nite Fleit, SHDW & Obscure Shape, Under Black Helmet, Chlär, Chontane, and Coyu. Proceeds went to UNICEF to help those in Ukraine.
She also dropped ‘Activision' in 'Believe in Freedom of Choice and Democracy', another fundraising VA supporting a Polish charity aiding Ukrainian residents.
Aida Arko is a force to be reckoned with in the techno and experimental music scene. Her audacious style and cutting-edge approach to crafting mind-blowing soundscapes have the industry in a chokehold.
With a trail of epic performances and badass collaborations, Aida’s future is blazing hot as she relentlessly pushes the boundaries of electronic music.
